The ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï (ÍøÆسԹÏ) has been ranked by Times Higher Education (THE) as the First University in Kuwait and 24th in the region in the THE Arab University Rankings 2021.

The results were released on July 27th during the Times Higher Education University Rankings Forum co-hosted by ÍøÆسԹÏ, where more than 600 participants, representing institutions in the Arab region and the world, had an exclusive first look at the new THE Arab University Rankings.  Among the universities that also stood in first place in their respective countries include King Abdulaziz University from Saudi Arabia, Qatar University from Qatar, Khalifa University from the United Arab Emirates, and the American University of Beirut from Lebanon.

125 universities from 14 countries across the region were ranked in the Arab University Rankings by THE. Participating in the ranking necessitates a minimum requirement of 500 publications over a period of five years.

Times Higher Education is the data provider underpinning university excellence in every continent across the world. With almost five decades of experience as a source of analysis and insight on higher education, THE has expertise on the trends defining universities’ performance globally.

It is worth noting that THE has launched the Arab University Rankings for the first time in 2021 based on its firm belief in reflecting the unique characteristics, missions, and activities of universities in the Arab region.  Following a methodology that adopts new regional measures on reputation and collaboration as well as metrics on societal impact, THE has ranked universities in the Arab region based on 16 performance indicators grouped into five key areas: Teaching (the learning environment), Research (volume, income, and reputation), Citations (research influence), Society (knowledge transfer and impact) and International Outlook (staff, students and research).

These ranking results reflect ÍøÆسԹϒs strong commitment to excellence in teaching, within a global learning environment, and in making an impact through quality research, and collaborations with top-notch educational institutions from all over the world.
